I have emphasized
on many occasions in my various articles that
the next successful
group of people on the Internet will be the
ones who are selling
valuable content.
Internet marketers
who are new to the Internet are wasting too
much time trying
to chase money, whether it be through low
paying affiliate
programs or multi-level marketing programs.
They are forgetting
the one fundamental principle that all
successful individuals
have followed.
Successful people
do not chase money, they *attract* money to
themselves.
What better way to attract money than with valuable content.
Content that people and companies are willing to pay for.
Selling content is
not only limited to the Internet, you can
also sell content
to offline publications.
A prime example is
Duane "Cash" Holze and his brother Todd
"Carry" Holze, otherwise
known as "Cash and Carry", who sell
content to newspapers.
What is there content?
These guys share
tips on getting the best deal in classified ads
and also some of
the most amusing real-life classified stories.
The simply pay anyone
who has a funny classified story $50 if
they use it.
They don't even have to write a word.
One of their primary
methods of reaching newspapers and
magazines is from
their web site:
http://www.classifiedguys.com
This was real simple
idea and with a little bit of courage, they
got newspapers to
sign up for their content in order to attract
more classified
readers.
More classified readers
means better results for the newspapers'
advertisers who
will want to advertise again. Advertisers loved
the idea of having
their classified ads right beside a popular
anchor column that
was attracting readers like crazy.
Before they were
picked up by Universal Press Syndicate, which
now controls the
distribution of their content, they were
already in approximately
110 newspapers in just 8 months.
What was the secret to their success?
They *attracted* the money by producing valuable content!
There are still a
gazillion ideas out there that can possibly
make you a lot of
money.
* Funny cooking stories...
You could easily
approach publishers of recipe books or web
sites dedicated
to cooking to see if they would be interested in
licensing your content.
* Collection of jokes...
You could compile
a large number of jokes into a small ebook and
offer it as a bonus
to people who sign up to your paid humour
related ezine.
* Compilation of other authors works...
I personally know
of one individual who uses material by
other authors who
write continuing Star War saga stories and
then offer them
as freeware. He compiles the various material
and then auctions
it off on eBay.
* Cartoons
If you have a knack
for drawing cartoons that are funny, you
could easily be
picked up by services such as uclick.com who
will syndicate your
content right across the Internet.
I thought of the
above ideas in less than ten minutes and there
are still many other
*good* ideas out there.
I just recently signed
licensing deals with two prominent
magazines for content
that I had been collecting for years.
It really isn't that
hard and once you get the ball rolling,
nothing will be
able to stop your imminent success.
